Sam Janssen(1994) is a multi-disciplinairy artist born in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, currently living and working in Rotterdam.

My work emerges from an exploration of the digital realm—a space that has become our primary reality, demanding our active engagement. Through the transformation of this digital landscape into sculptures and installations, I create gateways to a cybernetic reality. These objects serve as portals, blurring the boundaries between our physical and virtual worlds.

Through a meticulous process involving selection, reverse engineering, sculpting, and juxtaposition, I give new form to objects that are integral to our daily existence. By doing so, I aim to challenge our perceptions of these familiar devices and machines, prompting us to reconsider their significance and impact on our lives.

My artistic journey delves into the essence of contemporary existence, where the digital and physical intertwine, inviting viewers to question their relationship with technology and its role in shaping our experiences.
